Our Story: How It Began

It all began in 1982 when owner, Nasar Mahmood, invested a few pieces of jewellery to set up a small manufacturing company in Manchester named Alison Fashion.  Tailoring and selling women’s dresses, tops and trousers, the company soon began to grow and flourish. 

In 1983, the company changed its name to Fabuline Ltd, and developed into a fully-fledged manufacturing wholesaler, selling its increasing range of women’s clothing to stockists across the UK. 

Taking pride in its ‘no shortcuts’ policy as well as its recognised commitment to quality, style and value for money, the company decided to adopt an official brand name and Saloos was born.  With production lines in China, Morocco and in the UK, Saloos is now set to grow even further. 

Our Story: Where we are now

Continuous growth is our passion.  Our in-house design team create new styles and cuts each and every day, making us one of the most agile UK based manufacturers to respond to rapidly evolving market trends. 

In addition to our Manchester based cash and carry warehouse, we now stock in (how many?) stores including high street stores, department stores, garden centres and local independents.  In January 2020, Bonmarche placed its first order with us and in February, we expanded our sales into the USA after exhibiting at Magic in Las Vegas, one of the world’s largest fashion trade shows. 

Saloos is now a recognised brand across the globe with popularity across the UK, the USA, Australia, Europe and other parts of the world.
